Sunday Morning

Style

Our Sunday morning services are informal but structured.

 Leadership of Worship

Normally our Minister leads many of our services.  However the Minister is often leading services at other churches in the Winchester Circuit.  On these occasions the services at Wesley are led by Local Preachers from across the Circuit (including some from Wesley) and occasionally by Worship Leaders (who do not preach).

Music

We sing a mixture of traditional and more modern hymns and songs.  These are accompanied by organ and/or piano and there is a choir leading the singing.  At some services there is an anthem or other song from the choir.

Multimedia

The church has a multimedia installation and songs and other material, e.g. words, pictures and video clips, are put on the screen at a proportion of our services  However hymn books are used at other services and are always available.

Family Sharing Time

It is our practice to include in the service a short session during which the congregation may hear news from members of the church family.  Some items are the basis for prayer.

Welcome to All

Following the morning service everybody is invited to go into the hall (in the same building) for coffee, tea, biscuits and conversation.  This provides a good opportunity to meet any visitors to the church and to welcome them.
 

Sunday Evening

Our evening service is a smaller, more intimate gathering.  The style is similar to the morning service.
